Big Shot Gamers!

Final warning - this weekend's event has been CANCELLED due to lack of interest. Please don't show up at Finch Fieldhouse on Friday, because we won't be there.

Credit card refunds have all been processed by our staff; if you haven't already seen a credit on your paying card, it could take up to 3-5 more days. If you have special circumstances that you haven't informed us about, PLEASE email us directly - bigshot@bigshotgaming.com.

Hey Big Shot Gamers -

Unfortunately, due to lack of interest and the resulting extreme financial pressure that we'd be put under, we've had to cancel the upcoming MegaLAN. If you paid for the event, you will receive a refund within 7-10 days of this posting back to the credit card that you paid with - if you've got special circumstances (i.e., you used a prepaid card or something like that), please email us directly - bigshot@bigshotgaming.com.

We've had a great time hosting events for you, and we've made a lot of friends! We're sorry that things had to go this way, but we'd much rather cancel the LAN than host an event that wouldn't be a lot of fun. Thanks for sticking with us through all these years!

Hey Everyone! Sorry about the message earlier regarding the potential cancellation of the next MegaLAN. The message you received was bouncing around a few of our admins, but when we discussed it at our last meeting we decided it was in bad taste and that it gave the wrong impression. We are still working as hard as possible to make this event a triumph!

To make it up to you we would like to offer some transparency into the discussion we had regarding event finances and the current risk factor of running the event. Most of the admins decided that we are a little behind where we should be at this point, but the history of our events tell us that we are on track to pulling this off:

That being said it really does help us out if you register as soon as you can as that means we can get warm fuzzies that the event will be paid for when its all said and done and that we can go buy more prizes!

Please register ASAP https://www.bigshotgaming.com/events/register/10/

One other thing that helps us is for you to register for the tournaments that you will be playing in. Please sign up for those while you're on our site soaking the web standards of 2008!

Sincerely,
The Big Shot Gaming Admin team

Big Shot Gaming MegaLAN XVII Update #2

Big Shot Gamers!

We've got some bad news: it's with a heavy heart that we must announce we're at risk of canceling our upcoming event.

Unfortunately, as a completely independent LAN hosting group, we depend on our ticket sales to cover the costs of running our events. As you're probably well aware, venues are getting more expensive, and sponsorships are becoming more difficult to acquire. If we don't sell at least 100 more seats by March 31, we will be forced to cancel the event and refund all existing signups; we simply cannot afford to run the event without those sales.

If you (or someone you know!) were waiting to sign up, now's the time to grab your seat! We can still make this thing happen, but we need your help.

Hey Big Shot Gamers!

It's been a little less than a month since you last heard from us, and we wanted to give you a few quick updates on the upcoming MegaLAN XVII!

The first order of business is earlybird registration - it ends tomorrow, so the price of a ticket will be increasing from $25 to $30. Get signed up today in order to nab that discount! You can register online at www.bigshotgaming.com.

The next thing we have up is prizing for the League of Legends tournament - we will be offering cash prizes of the following amounts to our best League of Legends teams; there may be more prizes in the coming weeks, but this is guaranteed now.

1st place: $50 per player
2nd place: $20 per player
3rd place: $10 per player

Lastly, we'd like to give a big shoutout to the sponsors who have already signed on to support our upcoming LAN party: Bawls, Enermax, Silverstone, and Monster Energy! We're constantly getting more in, so expect more updates on this subject in a couple weeks. Until then, happy gaming!
